Artie Skeppard - Im the boogaloo man

Its been a long time since last post, my kids have been keeping me busy but its time to get my blogging on again. First out is this boogaloo track recorded and released in sweden. Same label as the Stardust LP. Not my kind of music but this seems to be getting spins in some circles.

Birgitta Yavari - Det är svårt för ett ägg att bli en fågel.

Short but sweet, this trippy and funky song about a egg is from a xian musical LP on the same label as the Ingmar Johansson LPs .

Björn Gärdsby - On The Line

This great Toto-esque blue eyed modern soul track is a real find for me. A pretty much ungoogelable, private pressed swedish LP from 1980. If you know anything about this, let me know!

Combo 8 - Vibrationer (Full LP)

This is one rare piece, can't be more than a few hundred pressed - newer up for sale but I don't think that demand is very high either. Found this in a thrift a few weeks back and its not really my thing but still a interesting record. Couldn't find it online so I ripped the whole thing. Hard to label but improvised funky fusion-jazz with a prog vibe is close enough, released in my hometown Gothenburg in 1976. My choice cut here would be the jazzy "Mardröm" (Nightmare in english).

Whole LP here (If this link is dead, please ask and I will re-up it.)

Ralph Lundsten - Time Storm

More cosmic funk from Ralph Lundsten. This LP from 1982 is bordering to his less interesting period when he released some pretty boring stuff. But "Time Storm" has his trademark style and quality.

Otitis - Another City

Swedish New Wave / Synth-pop duo Otitis on a pretty scarce 12". This track is on the B-side and pitched down by me, at wrong speed I really like this track and its gets some dreamy balearic qualities.

Stardust International - Rock Me To The Music

By request, here is the second good track of the Stardust LP.
